Lost In Translation DIR. Sofia Coppola

Rating: 10/10

Lost In Translation is an absolutely stunning achievement in film making. She often leaves the viewer to their own devices in what her films mean. She gives us all the clues and lets us come up with our own ideas about the messages presented in the film.

This film is one of her crowning achievements in the independent cinema world, she shows her prowess not only as a screenwriter but as a director as well. The characters are beautifully written and brought to life through the films absolutely breathtaking cinematography.

This is a film about being lost and being found. It’s about trying to become someone when you might not have been before. It’s a beautiful portrait on what it means to be a human. On what it means to feel lost and afraid. The film is a beautiful ode to an emotion that is often universal.

Definitely watch this film if you have not.
